(she/her/hers)
Dawn grew up in Kansas and after living in various states and overseas (courtesy of the US military), she finally put down roots in Texas.
Dawn is a graduate of various institutions, including Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary where she earned a Master of Divinity degree and Baptist Healthcare Systems Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) for hospital chaplaincy. Dawn is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, has pastored several churches throughout South Texas and she is now a Chaplain Clinician in the Methodist Healthcare System in San Antonio. She is a self-proclaimed geek/nerd already starting to dream about a Doctorate of Ministry degree as the next educational journey in her future. Her husband, David, just shakes his head and buys another set of book shelves.
Dawn joins Central Ceremonies as the San Antonio/South Texas officiant. She is passionate about the services Central Ceremonies provides. Dawn believes a life worth experiencing becomes a life well lived, whether it is helping couples achieve the wedding of their dreams, walking with families as they say goodbye to a loved one, blessing a new home, celebrating with a young lady at her QuinceaƱera or blessing the addition of a new family member.
Dawn is married to David (a very patient man), and they share their home with two Yorkies and two Labs. She has three sons, three bonus daughters (more commonly known as daughters-in-law), and she is the proud Gammy to six adorable and amazing grandsons and a grandchild (a girl this time!) on the way. In her spare time, she loves spoiling the grands, walking through thrift stores to find that one-of-a-kind treasure, traveling, and eating the masterpiece meals her husband creates on the outdoor grill.
Secret Fun Fact: Dawn has driven a couple of NASCAR stock cars, and even set a course record one of the times.
