(She/Her/Hers)
Kelly, the newest member of our Central Ceremonies family, comes to us with a love of officiating and creating meaningful rituals for people for a variety of settings and life events.
A native Texan, Kelly grew up in Houston, worked in Dallas, and landed back in Austin (hopefully for good) in 2012. Kelly holds a B.A. in Business Administration from The University of Texas and a Masters of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
She spent over a decade learning and leading in the digital marketing space at Southwest Airlines, a company she still loves and admires. That experience with SWA taught her the immense value of servant leadership as the basis of corporate culture, as well as the importance of not taking yourself too seriously. It was also a healthy way to feed her still-present travel obsession.
Kelly is a proud xennial, wife, mother of two, and bonus mom of four (plus one very spoiled fur child). When she’s not operating as a personal Uber service for her kids, she and her wife, Emily, own and operate a wellness practice called the Unstuck Therapy Group. Emily is the founder and leads all therapy work, while Kelly is the practice manager and sees clients for 1:1 spiritual care coaching.
Secret/fun fact: Kelly was most recently voted “Person I Most Want to Get a Beer With and Talk” among a group of pastors from Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. She digs the Austin craft beer scene and will never turn down a cold, delicious IPA – paired well with a lake view and Austin sunshine.
